Cartwright & Michael Terry's successful record attempt set a competitive 8 Hour Two stand Merino Ewe World Record tally of 924.

The 466 sheep shorn by Cartwright gave him the Solo 8HR Merino Ewe World Record, 55 more than the previous record held by Hilton Barrett shorn on 24/11/02.

The Record was held at Mr Rob Rex's Westindale property in the Beau River Kentanning District 3 hours south of Perth. The sheep used were from the same property and were big well grown Merino ewes with a wool weight of 4.8 KGS.

This was a well run Record and was well supported by the local community, with a crowd of several hundred giving Cartwright and Michael plenty of encouragement.
